Help save my MkIII VRS from my toddler - Seat back protectors etc

Featured Replies

My family car is a 2019 Octavia VRS Estate, which I've owned for around a year, and which does the job very well.

The only problem is that my son insists on growing, and now that he's nearly 2 years old he can kick the back of the front seat from his child seat.

Can anyone recommend a decent seatback protector, and possibly something to stop him kicking the door card? I tried a 'normal' protector which has a strap that would go around the headrest posts, but as my Octavia has a 'built in' headrest it didn't work very well.

I've considered duct tape or an amputation at a push, but I'm willing to accept other suggestions.

10mm thick Polycarbonate box with a breathing hole in the top, anchored to the isofix points should do the job :D

How about hog tying him and sticking him in the boot?

Damage the boot trim then and leaves no room for the missus

All the "normal" answers have been taken, so not even going to try.

But what a about a video player on the front seat to keep him occupied.

Simple is to remove shoes and give him a soft toy if he hasn't already got something.

Socks won't damage door card/back of seats.  Not always the most convenient of course, but adds a little bit to getting in and out process.

If you do need some protection, I am sure there's a product out there if not.

I use that one in black from the Chinese guys because my seats are black alcantara https://a.aliexpress.com/_uAA6BV

it has some pockets for tablets and bottle and other stuff.

And for the seat protectors under the toddler seats

And a tablet, and I still hear them.. 😅

I'm due my first in October and although I have leather and the VRS is the second family car/longer trip car I am planning to get a half decent looking waterproof cover for sick/dirty fingers/food, etc.

Keeping an old coat hanging by it's hood from the headrest would stop him kicking the back.
