Sump plug washer

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2012 170 CR TDi, (CFJA engine).  Does anyone know the size of the sump plug washer?  I want to replace it when I do an oil change but the likes of ECP don't show which size fits which vehicle.

Thanks

According to the parts catalogue for a 2012 Yeti CFJA HERE the sump plug is as below:

I bought a bag of them off ebay for a few quid. I got them years ago and they still haven't run out.

If desperate, turn washer upside down, and /or use PTFE tape - works for me over many years - safe the planet 😇

I have never used a new washer in all my years 70+, now in the Yeti I do not even take the sump plug out as for the last few years I have sucked the oil out of the dipstick tube straight into a waste can so no need to do any cleaning up or removing the undertray.
I use an oil suction pump from Lidl.

Put in your reg number then search for sump plug.

Tried this and it came up with no results.

The plug is quoted as M14 x 1.5 x 22mm not sure if the 1.5mm is Metric Fine pitch or the washer thickness. So the washer needs to be 22mm O/D x 14mm I/D x 1.5mm thick?

Varous sizes on Ebay

For all it costs, just go to a Skoda dealer and buy one, then you will know you have the correct one and a reference for the future ... even BMW dealers only charge £1.15 for a sump washer for my X3 ... I seriously expect it to cost only a few pounds in total, ..... Worth it to save the fuss and stress of ... "do I have the correct one or not."

100% true, you never want to buy an eBay one or such to find out the hard way with all your oil empty the plug you brought doesn't fit.
