It's part of the sat-nav option I believe :D

Chris

Maxi-dot was fitted to cars that were specified with satelite navigation. I'm pretty sure it cannot be used without sat nav, and therefor cannot be retrofitted independantly - which is a shame. :thumbdwn:

No it can be retrofitted, it's just expensive.

The display in the instrument panel...usually available in Ambient models. Our friend Fabia156 has maxidot in his Ambiente 1.4 Fabia.

I would pay £250 for it just so I can have my clock back on the speedo

When I bought my Fabia the salesman said I could get maxidot display for just 45 £... then after ordering my car, he had found out that now I could get maxidot if I got the satnav for 1800£. I thought that was too expensive.

I got an Elegance model :P but hey i dont have the maxidot.. its just the normal trip computer that comes with every other fabia that shows the clock, temp, etc..

i think that the maxidot comes only with the models that got the Satnav

No problem to retrofit the Maxi-dot even if you don´t have the Navi. Many guys here did this and it works. Costs 73.- GBP app. here + few buck for coding... ;)

Now you can get the new car with the maxidot and without the navi too. At least here in Czech...

where in the UK can you get it for £73 GBP?

He said approximately 73GBP, So I am guessing the part is that price in CZ?
