Octavia 3 FL high beam (H7 lamp) regulation

Featured Replies

Hello.

How to adjust high beam lamp with H7 bulb?

Where are the adjustment screws for high beam?

Check that you have these 2 screw postions as seen, then you should be able to adjust the beam, this will affect the dipped/high beam at the same time.

Height is postion 1

Left and right deflection is position 2

I thought the FL only came with LED headlamps? I could be wrong...

The S and SE look to get halogen headlights with LED DRL. SE L and upwards seem to get LED headlights 👍

Please read the previous comments again - it seems the low and high beam share the same adjustment screws so there is no separate adjustment for the high beam...

There is certainly no mention of a separate high beam adjustment in the manuals I have.

The information I gave you was from the workshop manuals, the same ones that @langers2kwill have seen also.

No separate high/low beam screw.

If you high beam is way off, then perhaps the H7 bulb was fitted wrong, and this happens a lot with people changing bulbs.

They don't have the same screws...

When I regulate the ones on the picture, I regulate only LOW beams - HIGH beams do not move...

Are you 100% sure that the H7 bulb is fitted correctly?

H7 bulb was fitted in SKODA factory...

I didn't change them.

Is that also true of the FL that @hermanekhas as well as the pre-FL which is what the illustration appears to show?

Might be better to take some pictures of headlight's from various angles at this point.

Yup, this is all the 05.2020 manual mentions:

Certainly looking at various headlights on eBay, there are only two obvious white adjusters that I can see:

Then they have NO adjustment possible then, they are fixed at the factory they are assembled in 🤐

You can choose to change the bulbs for different, that might throw the beam further down the road depending on beam patterns.

High beam doesnt have an adjustment and never will... its an unregulated/restricted bulb that just lights up everything, nothing needs adjusting.

Show us a photo of what the supposed issue is?

I think H7's must be standard, as I've checked both my low and high beam bulbs on my 2019 Octavia 1.5t SE dsg,  both are H7's, as I'd upgraded my dipped beam H7 bulbs.

Something I'm actually pleased about, as H7 bulbs are cheap. Neither could I complain about their performance, as coming from a different manufacturer and using the same bulbs, as the performance of my Octavias lights are far better, I put this down to better quality projectors.

In the OCTAVIA 2 FL (2009) H7/H1 lamps there was a regulation of low beam and high beam (separately)...

Seems the Octavia 3 is different, another cost saving maybe?
