Wheel nut cover tool

Can anyone send a pic of their removal tool and location for the plastic wheel nut covers

VRS 2.0 TSI Octavia Estate

Can't find mine . New car.

Looks like plastic tweezers (similar shape to sugar tongs) about 4 inch (100mm long).

Should be in the polystyrene in wheel well (along with locking wheel nut)

Here it is the set - plastic wheel nuts covers and the removal tool:

Nothing like that tbh

Most of the time they are stored end up, so all you see is the dome end, which is hard to spot against the black polystyrene.

I could not find my tool so I phoned the dealer who said it is there in with the jack etc. in the polystyrene block .

Sure enough it was there just difficult to see. I bought a couple more from E-Bay.

DO NOT let tyre fitters have them, they always "Forget" to give them back.

Most of them don’t care about this tool. They just use a flat screw driver as a lever and make awful scratches on the screw wells

Turns out this is it

Could only see the right angle bit sitting in the polystyrene!

That’s not for removing the plastic wheel nut covers, it is for removing plastic wheel trims on lesser models, and sometimes to remove trim to access towing eye fitting.

Plenty dealer shops on eBay and Amazon also available from your local dealer.

@Joss1733

Did your car come minus them because someone never fitted them at the PDI?
