Rear camera for Octavia III

Featured Replies

Hi guys.

I update my mib 1 and Bolero screen on my Nov'13 Octavia III  to Mib 2 And Admudsen screen.

Now, I want to install a rear camera but I don't know which I should to use. My car doesn't have parking sensors. I found on aliexpress a lot of cameras for install on trunk handle but my car trunk handle is smaller (about 92x34)

I think I will have to use a normal camera and make a hole in the door to install it, then connect it with this connector:

Witch is the best option for you guys?

Thanks so much for your response. That item can fit, but my original trunk handle has not the screws

yes, same issue for me, I used some IKEA brackets I has lying around  and twisted theme to make a clamp on each side.

I taped the part touching the trunk to avoid scratching the paint.

Please, can you show me those brackets to buy the same ones?.

I will send you a picture when I go to my garage

This is what I used.

If you picture the bracket like on the picture put the small side on the screw of the camera, then bend the long side to the right for it to sit on the trunk. It will make a clamp that works really well don't forget to put a washer on the screw

The second picture is Taken from the net but y you should end up with something looking like it

That looks to me like the wall fixing bracket from an IKEA Billy bookcase - which you can get free from IKEA by doing a spares order for part number 106989.

Hello. Thanks for your answer.
I hope to receive the camera next week
I'll try to get those rackets and hold the camera using them :)
