is a PD 160 really worth it??

Featured Replies

Hi,

right, i have eibach's and i have the udder mod, i'm not looking at making my car hit 500mph!! or anything stupid, so chip is not on the list, but i am thiniking about the PD160 intake, is the difference really noticable?? all i want to do is make my car an fun car to drive, hence the suspesnsion and udders.

any help would be much appreciated..

Paul:rofl:

It does seem to allow the car to rev more freely - I would, for the meagre £35 outlay.

that's what i was thinking, but i thought i'd ask first..

Ta

pd160 intake with green filter can give up to 10 more bhp on a custom remap.

that's the thing though, i don't want to re-map, so is it worth it on a standard car/engine??

probably just as well, can help with reduction of smoke a little too,

so it will reduce the amout of smoke being chucked out the back, have noticed that recently!!

i know it's only

It's not £40 it's £35 inc VAT - So that's £5 worth of fuel you can buy.

if you get discount it might be £35 but with no discount i paid £39 , but its still worth it

I bought one this week for someone and i'm sure it was £35 without any discount. I'll see if I still have the invoice.

Go for it  I have eibach's, green filter & 160 intake and the engine did seem to rev easier and more importantly, the average mpg also went up :D I did this initially as I am going in for a remap in the next week or so but there is a definate benefit to having these done even without a remap in mind

That'll be the Eibachs then  :P

Ive found- at higher revs the engine doesn't seem to die off as much as it used to with those things fitted.

Out of curiosity, i Have the PD160 air intake but no green panel filter would this make a difference when getting the remap?

I'd originally have thought that i'd be best getting the filter before hand.

On the other hand it is not a custom remap on a rolling road but it is done to your specification.

Can anyone help?

And yes,the engine does seem to rev more freely at the top end but this could be a placebo effect.

Just stick a new paper filter in. They filter dirt out way bettter and the performance difference is negligable.

Looks like you've been robbed. :P

Yeah looks like there was 10% - Surprised me as I didn't ask for it.

That's an interesting conclusion - out of interest, do you have any evidence that supports that? :D

Udders are cow tits. You have cow tits on your car?

Apexi filters are disposable and effectively made of paper (Apexi refers to the filter material as a layer of dry density fibres  ).

That'll be the Eibachs then  :P

.

*cough* errr.... yeah it would
