When I accellerate, say joining a dual carriageway or motorway my car gets to about 60ish and seems to have a stutter or pause in accelleration.  Any suggestions where to start looking?  

 

No codes have come up or lights on dash.   Happens in the different driving modes too.

67 plate 230 petrol DSG.  52000 miles.

Spark plugs or coil packs is where I would start. Also a leaking PCV valve can cause this sort of an issue.

Have your spark plugs been changed, due at 4years if I remember correctly.

Plugs havent been done.  Job for the morning now.  Thanks for the pointers.
