It sounded truely "Awesome" your car today.

I must be honest Dave those results surprise me as I thought it would be a great deal more than that certainly bhp!.

Im suprised you are suprised to be honest? What were you expecting?

Flywheel figure will be around 280 bhp!

With any luck, some "boffins" will be looking at it soon, and the nice poeple at Awsome will get some extra ponies from somewhere.

I was pleased with results, as they were pretty much as expected.

Just shot out of my seat just now Dave

You should have heard the bang that has just happened.

Think it was one of those you was watching for.

I'm no expert on these things, but a 40bhp difference betwwen the wheels and flywheel seems quite a lot, but what do I know!.

On a TDI its not much, but seems more on a petrol - As a guide its usually 20%, maybe a tad less, thats lost through the transmission. :) It was going bloody well at Blackpool anyway.

its called transmission loses for a reason Jason, because its to do with the transmission rather than the engine ;)

nice figures though dave :)

whatever. :P I thought it was something to do with a diesel flywheel being able to transmit more through the box than a petrol one, or something like that.

I'm still flummoxed as to what the BANG is being referred to above?

maybe dave's charm has a delayed effect ;)

nice numbers shifty ;)

must be a very quick car!

Sod the bhp...... 308 lb/ft  that's what will leave many a car flapping in its wake.... That's an awsome amount for a petrol, no wonder it flies !! Nice one mate

Good result, sounds like its pretty quick

Will be about right mate. 40 bhp tranny loss for FWD, 60 Bhp for RWD, and around 80 bhp for a 4 WD.

You could add a little more to those figures if we were talking auto gearboxes (not DSG boxes) due to torque converter.

shifty forgive me if i am wrong but are those figures with revo or do you have a new map?

Yes mate, it's Revo......for now ;)

Going off my Jabba RR figures 240bhp, then after loss it's211bhp , that would work yours out as 272bhp from 240bhp.

At the end of the day the figures aren't important as the car is obviously quicker than standard so the mods he's done have worked:D and shifty appears to be a very happy man so job done:thumbup:

although i fel theres still more modding to come :P

What went bang though? I'm still curious.

I'd left by that point, and as Sarah heard it from her office, I guess we will never know, but it will have been a Ford of some description.

Mmmm

Yes sorry it seems that it was just a very noisy white thing with lots of stickers on.

Dave said it was pretty rapid...

But I never saw the results just heard it go on.

Think the bang was a guy who`s exhaust dropped off as he was driving it round.

Must admit though there was some rather nice looking cars , noisy too

That will be the cosworth that does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds then. 499 whp  , and thats without the 100 shot NOS.
