Octavia 3 climatronic upgrade to touch panel

Hello,

I own a Octavia 3 from 2015 and i saw that you can replace the climatronic panel to one with touch buttons. Has anyone done this and can help me check if my model can benefit form it. And if so, what touch panel codes might fit and what frame is compatible and a location to buy it, even if it's AliExpress.

It's certainly been done, just for example:

The biggest issue is the frame. There is no OEM part so instead you'll need to modify one or have one 3D printed then painted to match your interior.

 

Pretty sure there was someone on drive2 making them but I can't remember who.

Not quite the same but you can go for facelift gloss climate control panel but you need the surround as well. Looks alot nicer than the stock buttons, especially with the flush screen you have.

Thank you for the feedback so far, I know now what panel unit number i need: 5NA907044AJ (without Webasto)  from a Tiguan2 / Kodiaq / Passat B8 H. Just need to find a suitable frame, one of the Russian posts used a Superb frame but the bottom corners were sticking a bit out.
As for coding it, some Russian guy said it was not needed, just press certain buttons :)).

And I've done it, the frame i bought it from Romania, it was 3D printed and did not need to paint it and it fits perfectly.
I just need to sort out some error codes:
-start the AC compressor.
-ignore climate zones 3+4, as it is coded for Arteon or Passat that have separate heating in the back area.

I also bought the frame from some one in Romania, there is also some guy in Russia, but i did not manage to get to an understanding with him on Drive2ru website, translate was very dumb.

You’ve made a neat job of that, certainly. I’m sticking with physical, tactile buttons and dials as long as I can however.

Alin_c where you find touchpanel with aux heating ? Or can you give me a part number please

you can buy the surround in gloss or matt black on aliexpress 20 pound delivered you can also buy the climatronic control units aswell

Yea saw that, when i wanted and did the retrofit, they were not available on ALiExpress.
