Inside front offside wheel arch vents

Featured Replies

Hi folks, new member - a quick quick question - have noticed on my new superb there are vents on the inside of the passenger side front wheel arch but not the driver side. More for curiosity, what are these for?

Dunno. Hopefully this bumpy might elicit a response or two from those in the know!

I thought it might be so that the horn could be heard better.  But that is just a pee in the dark.

I’ve got all the bits to retrofit one in my petrol superb, just not got around to it and now it’s too cold to be doing it right now

Interesting AS; what’s the cost of the bits?

100% agree, I wish it was an option for UK vehicles. Please can someone at VAG marketing take note?

Roughly about £800 in parts including new fuel line and such. More expensive as its petrol, diesel can be done for a bit cheaper.

My diesel has the supplementary heater which is pretty good, not as good as a parking heater but it does make a lot of difference. Works automatically below about 5 degrees or so. Don't think the petrol models have this feature?.

Edit: I see it is now on some Skoda petrol cars as well

My 220tsi has the supplementary heater from the factory.

Im still not sure the rhyme or reason that determines what does/doesnt have the electric heater element.
