New style badges for Octavia mk2

Featured Replies

I've seen mk2 Octavia with new style badge, and it looks good. I believe its just the next later badge that came in but I cannot be sure if the badge of the mk3 fits or if best fit is from another model.

Has any member here updated their badges? Anyone know the part number that will work for boot and grille? Some years ago I thought I saw such a topic but couldn't find it tonight!

Thanks!

Updated the badges on my mk2 fl Octy, bought them from kopacek.com

Thanks very much for that info Gissin. Just what I needed to know rather than make silly mistake.

Hi Gissin,

Purchased the front badge but found it doesn't fit because the locator pins are in the wrong place. On my grille, they mounting holes are 180 degrees across the centre.

Another was also recommend. Part 3V0 853 621 FOD, but locator pins were again not in the right place. I know there is a badge that fits because I had one. Unfortunately no longer do I have that because the garage that put my new grille on said the old badge could not be recovered. It looked alright to me before they broke it trying to get it off.

you need to break the pins off - they're there for alignment but obviously not designed for use with the mk2 grill, so need to be careful when sticking the badge on

I think i have seen a badge from another model, maybe a Scout that has the locator pins in the right place. I'll check on that first before cutting off any pins! My alignment skills might not be the best!
