Which Bluetooth module do I need?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I own an Octi mkIIb vrs blackline on a 62 plate I have all the buttons for phone connectivity, but the original owner didn't cough up for the Bluetooth module, anyone know which one I need?

Cheers all

Thought all 2012+ units have integrated bluetooth in the headset? Was looking for a similar thing. Presumed fitting a head unit with bluetooth in it would negate the need for anachronistic separate module? Anyone?

Nope, it has all the controls on the steering wheel and the head unit and has the satnav (skoda amundsen) but doesn't have the Bluetooth module, which I think goes under the drivers seat.

I'm also trying to work this out but none of the Blacklines that I've seen including mine have the multi function steering wheel like yours

rns315 in the blackline has the bluetooth built into the headunit, you have to activate it with vcds, you might have the option already on the mfd, if not then its vcds,

all blacklines that ive seen with dsg have multi function steering, ive never seen mfs on manual,

Thanks for the reply
Can I then get phone connectivity if I get it activated? I presume I'd also need to add the mircophone?
Is it possible to add the MFSW to the manual without too much drama

?

If you have a black line or you probably already have Bluetooth, just needs to fit the mic and activate it with vag com. I have fitted microphones and activated two in the past.

if you have a rns315 you may have it.

best thing to do is take out stereo, pull trim and a couple of torx screws if there’s a Mac code on the sticker you have it ready to activate after fitting a £8 microphone.

another hack with them is if it’s got the black single plug  connector above the main connector it’s dab ready too with an antenna!

Thank you, I've ordered a mic and my local VAG specialist is going to have a go at it for me

Have you checked the sticker on the stereo?

2008 Octavia 1.9Tdi. My radio has bluetooth for my phone but not audio. I can make phone calls but can't play music from my phone through the head unit. Any ideas on why or how to fix?
