we are trying to connect reversing camera to the infotainment (swift unit with bluetooth), technician managed to connect the camera, but the screen does not show up when reversing and he claims it needs firmware upgrade in order for configuration to work. (car does not have reversing sensors, so the reversing screen does not activate when i shift in reverse)

Yeah i would like to try that, but will it not break anything? I've read here about people having crackling audio and broken hadsfree mic in some versions. I'd like to avoid these versions. (or at least have way to downgrade back to original version)

u wont be able to downgrade it once its updated, not that i know of.

 

unless anybody else knows?

OK, is there at least version that is known not to have mentioned issues?

MEN2_EU_SKGPX_P9160L (version 8742) might be fine, but i don't have any experience...
