Featured Replies

The people who do this are scum pure and simple.

I think maybe people should key their faces, or prehaps brand their foreheads.

WHAT!!?? Punish criminals? What country (and century) do you think we are living in! Give them a holiday in Bermuda and compensation for having to go to court to get it.

What they should have to do is pay in full for the damage out of their own pockets and possessions - all those iPods, Gamestations, Mountain bikes and the rest. No more KFC till all is paid for.

Jenny,

I'm only based in Rochdale and can help you out if you dont want to do it yourself, give me a shout....

have a llok in the car care section, the post from Tweekster might hel[p explain...

I'ver got a porter cable, and everything to correct surface defects

I got some of the Scratch X today and will be trying it in the morning. After reading the packaging I'm not entirely confident it will solve it but I'll certainly give it a go

Well, Ive tried the Scratch X this morning and it hasn't touched it  I'm now on a quest to find this Brasso stuff before taking it to the dealers this morning.

I gave it two goes, maybe I expect too much?? :D

Remember, DON'T get the liquid Brasso in a tall narrow tin: you need the Duraglit Brasso Wadding in a small squat tin. [NOT SILVO - it doesn't work.]

Quick update while I'm here, interupting my important mission

I used the Brasso stuff and it's fantastic, scratches have now gone

Sounds as daft as using peanut butter on plastic trim but it works :)

Well my car is slowly turning into a sorry state. Some buggers been at the side of it. no idea why. probably the same person who stuck chewing gum on the door lock a few months back. I think someone doesnt like my car havent been there long enough or done anything to actually warrant an attack. i also have a dent in my boot and scratch. I shall grab some brasso and give that a go I think. i am also going to set up some video survellance equipment when I get the chance

I'll tell you how old [at least] that trick is. When I was about 18 I had a mate [a Mod] with a Vespa GS scooter. He hated it when pillion riders' heels made marks on his customised black-sprayed side pods. He showed me the Duraglit trick. That was about 1962. Thank you Mike Waller, wherever you are!

If you had seen the scratches you'd never believe anything could have done the trick apart from a respray. It took me about five minutes all in all. I'm impressed :D

That's exactly what I thought with my Primera. You can't tell what it will work on till you do it. But I reckon over 90% of what I tried it on has worked.

Recently had my octy 2 scratched as well, nice foot long job on the passneger door either side. Never had any on me fabia, buggers. Waiting on some scratch remover polish to come but will try the brasso, nice one peeps

You will be impressed

My face is still like this  over 48 hours later :D

Just in case any one is hunting for the Brasso wadding, I've just seen it at Morrisons, at the Ecclesfield, SHeffield shop, cost is a staggering

:wrthless:

It's becoming a national disgrace. Only tonight I was sitting in my living room reading to my six year old son before bedtime' date='and there were a group of three 10 year olds throwing stones at our house. Eventually they broke a double glazed unit and I phoned 999. Police were totally uninterested and had no personnel available until I told them that I had attacked one of them with a iron bar.(I hadn't, of course)

THEN they came round![/quote']
