Window Dropped

Featured Replies

Sorry May Have Posted In The Wrong Section. Need Help With A Problem O/s/r Window Went Down On My Vrs Oct Would Not Go Back Up Any Idea;s. Stripped The Door Panel Off And Removed The Motor To Prop The Window Back Up. Motor Making A Clicking Sound When Button Pressed Down But Not When Pressed Up. Any Body Think It May Be The Solenoid Before I Spend Money On A New One(hardly Use The Rear Windows)

Have a look at the regulator, a common failure. You can cable tie the glass to the door with the window nearly all the way up, a few mm gap. Regulator £45 - £50 + VAT, door control unit (not just a motor) I think £120 - £150 + VAT.

I have seen that mentioned on American VW sites and it could be that VWOA has been forced to provide that cheap and effective mod. However I believe that our only option for the Octavia is to replace the whole regulator assembly. :(

i saw jbs doing one about 2 months ago not sure if its the same thing,i know the guys window had fell down, give them a call
