Hi everybody,

I have almost decided to buy a new Fabia Vrs with Xeons and cruise control.

What are your opinions of the xeon headlights and the cruise control? Are they worth it?

Definitely.

Welcome to the forum

:orb_wave: Hello!

Welcome.

Xenons yes cruise .....only if you do a lot of motorway miles, but it is good

Hi and Welcome

Welcome to Briskoda :wavey:

Having never had neither cruise nor xenons I can't say I've missed them :D

It's your choice at the end of the day.

Hi,

I have both on my Furby vRS and I'm glad i chose to have them... money well spent..

I'm that lazy i even use the cruise around town (mainly when travelling home from work in the early hours), means i can watch the road not my speedo when passing speed camera's as well :D

Some ppl complain their xenons don't shine far enough a head but i've no complaints about mine,, i think this can be sorted at the dealers anyway..

hope this helps

Welcome to the site I hope you enjoy the stay!

Cool..

so what options did you go for in the end??

The Xenons are FANTASTIC......BUT they are set way too low from the factory. After an abortive attempt with VAG COM ( at EddyH's ) to set them right, the garage(after 2 attempts) set them perfectly. If you get them to do this, you must ask them to set them to the legal limit or they will still be too low. I also got them to replace the standard bulbs (sidelight and main beam ... non xenon) for me to ones that compliment the Xenon bulbs. ( Osram Silverstar H7's and some blue tinge sidelight bulbs from ebay) They did this free despite having to take out the headlight to do it. Good luck

I decided to get the Xeons and cruise. Done about 450 miles since picking it up last Saturday.

Not been out in the dark yet to try the Xeons properly but in the driveway the height seemed fined. Thanks Chris I'll keep that in mind.

Sweet!

If u didn't get them u'd always be wondering... what if? :)

My xenon's seem to be setup fine, I can see plenty on those dark country roads..

Any tips for running in?
Follow the advice on page 164 of the Owner's Manual - although it is may be too late for that now.....:(

I have been keeping the engine revs to a max of 2000rpm. So going by page 164 the max revs is says to use about 3300 so should be ok.
