I've recently bought a 2018 SE L Octavia, came with several rattles and what not that I've been able to track down and stop, but there's one that's eluding me and I wondered if anyone else has had the same issue and whether they've resolved it.

 

So there's a click / tick noise coming from the front passenger side, only when the car goes over bumps etc in the road but it is quite noticeable, the noise appears to be coming from the A pillar or the door near that part. 

 

I've seen that other people have mentioned the aircon relay etc, but this noise only happens when going over bumps so I don't think that its that, sounds like it could be parts of the trim rubbing together maybe? 

 

Anyone had this or got any ideas?

The aircon flaps often are noticeable sometimes as a click or flutter noise over that side. But as you say it would not be related to a bump.

 

Best try would be to get someone else to drive and you sit in passenger seat try to listen, hold things press on trim in hope of isolating. Could be the A pillar trim. or something underneath it.  Lots of possibilities until you can narrow down a bit further!

So I think I've managed to narrow this down to it maybe being the silver trim that sits around air vent on the passenger side. I'm going to put some try put some tape on there and see if it stops it, but not entirely sure how you'd got about getting a permanent fix for this.
