Wonderinf if you can help. I have a mk2 fl which a while back was attempted to be broken into. They smashed with window and pried at the top of the door and the handle with a crowbar/screwdriver.

 

I want to replace the door as I think it may be cheaper than going to a body shop. With that in mind, does anybody know if non-VRs models share the same doors as this may be easier to come by.

Yes all the doors are the same metal on the vrs and other models but the wiring and internals for the lock etc may be different dependant on the model and model year.

 

If you can find one in the same colour as your vrs, you may be able to get away with simply bolting it on and stripping all of the innards and lock etc off yours and transferring it all over, then giving it a good polish to match.
