Having done the rather embarrassing thing of leaving the car key in my jeans pocket which I proceeded to wash I am after instructions on how to dismantle they key.

The key is a flip style one and still works but I want to take it apart to make sure it is dry. I have taken the key apart as if to change the battery but want to know how to separate the bit which the key attaches to (as in if you where going to remove the blade).

Flip the key out...

There is a small piece of plastic to press in where they key usually hides.

Press this in and some careful pulling and it should open fine.
