Anyone know if TT seats will fit without modifications? A friend of mine's thinking of swapping his front seats for a pair of leather TT chairs.

And what's the score with putting them in Fabias or 9N Polos? Can be done but work required on the runners?

Work required on runners for fabia. Think they go ok in MKIV. But don't quote me on it.

the TT seats into the mk4 should be easy, BUT the mkiv seats into a fabia will need welding of the seats to your existing frame or a new one fabricated.

TT seats aren't a straight fit into the Mk4 as the subframes are different.

The TT is the only MkIV Golf based car that doesn't use the same runners.

So, they will not fit directly into a MKIV.

The runners are a similar design to the Fabia/9N Polo. (horizontal sliders bolted to the floorpan). They are, however, on different bolt hole centres, so a little bit of fabrication is needed. It's not easy, but I've successfully fitting them into my vRS.

Yes, R32 seats were a direct fit in my car. As Jon says the TT is different to the other cars based on the Mk4 platform.
