Hi Folks,

I got replacement for my car mechantronics but after installation I’m getting P170100 error. Transmission locked. I would highly appreciate if someone could help me with this. I believe some coding needs to be done.. what are the tools I would for require for that? Or is there any paid virtual help I can get?

You would need ODIS as its the only tool that can do the routine required whether it is immobiliser service or component protection.

What is the DSG, is it a DQ200?

That looks like VIN based component protection so yes, ODOS is the only way I know of.

You also can’t just go and buy the software and hardware yourself. 
I mean you can get it, but you won’t be able to use it without a login.

 

and then you need a special security login to do what is required
