Wheel bolts mk3 vs mk2

Featured Replies

Silly question - I'm planning on using my 18" Luxon from Superb 2 as a spare wheel in my Superb 3. Does someone know if wheel bolts have same or different length? I'm assuming wheel hub has the same thickness... But could we confirm if bolts are same?

I plan on removing wheel of my SS3 and measuring how much thread is sticking out from the hub, and then taking the bolt to SS2 wheel and measuring again but hopefully I could save sometime if someone could confirm that the bolts from SS3 will fit SS2 wheel. Thanks

I can confirm that these are the same bolts lengthwise. 😇

All Skodas that use five wheel bolts per wheel, use the same M14x1.5x27 wheel bolts, with OEM part number WHT001812.

Glad you confirmed it. Thanks.

Yes, they are - ET46 vs ET44 - 2mm difference - good enough for the girls I go out with :).

Does anyone have a good recommendation for where to buy the wheel bolts?

A full set would be around €110 from Skoda but on eBay you can find sets for €20 (presumably made of chinesium)...

Is there a good branded middle ground?

I've seen some "Febi Blistein" or "Eibach" sets for around €50-60

Do you know who is the supplier for the VAG group?

UK delivery would be OK as I'm dropping home for Xmas...

This was exactly the set I'd found at around €60 for 20..

Do  you recommend Eibach for this kind of thing? I know them only from other posts on this group for suspension upgrades... ?

Bought these from ebay a couple of years ago and they're absolutely fine.

I've seen the big difference in price for these & am always worried about getting an inferior product especially as I am changing the wheels myself.
However, for the last 10 years, I've been driving the Octavia winter wheels with the bolts provided from the tyre website I bought them (included for free with the order) which I guess are a similar no brand set & have also had no issues.

Thanks for the advice 👍
