Details to follow!

Whats the track session like?

I only ask as I've never been on a track so if its a bit full on i'll wait for a more pansy event to loose my track virginity.

........i'll wait for a more pansy event to loose my track virginity.

You got the right car for it ;)

I lost my 'track virginity' at Silverstone last year and its fine, well organised and strict rules to stop the 'idiots', go for it

:iagree: Best time to get the taste for it is on a 15 minute session with fellow Briskodians, and no muppets being reckless. (hopefully - I'll ease off ;))

Interesting, so it will be a slot with you guys then? Won't I look a prat in a non Skoda

Definently interested

You'll have to wear one of my 3 foot briskoda stickers on your car somewhere though. :P and NOT the underside of it either. :D

Won't I look a prat

No more than usual! :P

Just kidding! You will be fine my first Trax with the briskoda guys I missed my slot due to being stuck out side, so I want in a later slot with a few different cars.

Just remember once you pop it you wont want to stop doing it!

The marshals are really strict, so any tomfoolery will cause the track session to stop, which means bye bye to your track time. As a result, hardly anything happens, unless you happen to be a London taxi driver with more courage than ability ;)

and we will conveniently forget the fact that I went off on the 1st corner too ;)

I was just going to say I had a feeling you've been offroad a bit at a TRAX session of a time gone by. ;)

Jase you're just not cool unless you've come off the track at Silverstone :D

I'll book you into someone else's session though so when you come off you dont hold up ours OK??

Silverstone is a brilliant circuit to have a go on, it's big and smooth - we will run in a mixed circuit meaning there will be a bit of variety so no-one will look out of place - even MR2s ;) Last year we ran with some Skyline GTRs which the Beast was 'toying' with and gobbling up on the straights :D Hopefully this year now we've got more than one big turbo converted Octy and Furby on the Briskoda books we will have a right old laugh!

The track session will be about 15-20 mins long so long enough to get you hooked but not long enough to wear out your well prepared car (unless you crash it of course :D ).

I'll be practicing on the ring this year before my track session :D All I need to do now is book the car into a friendly performance specialist to get the odd upgrade done to it....

ooooh, me too, only 2 weeks beforehand as well. :D

I'll prolly book myself in for 2 sessions... it is my birthday after all :D

Just in case people were getting the impression that it's all a bit too safe:

Yes the track is very smooth, perversely it's also not very grippy.

Yes the marshals are strict sometimes but only when they can see something happening, as is ever the case.

No you won't be in with just Briskoda chaps - last year there were some jap cars, and some instructor driven Elises out with us whose track manners left something to be desired at times.

There's plenty of excitement to be had.

was great fun last year, but remember DON'T FORGET A LONG SLEEVED TOP!!! :o

cheers again nick

I enjoyed it last year, particularly the Briskoda Burger stand :D

Count me in for a place on the stand, and a track session at least.

the burger stand can be organised again if enough want it and don't worry the stand will be mot'd before hand this year ;)

You might want to bring something a bit more breathable this year

to say i was a bit warm is an under statement.

i was driving round with my aircon on full blasting out of only two vents directed right at my face :D

Two years running on the track and neither in the Briskoda session. Both excellent fun with a whole variety of cars for entertainment. Some were pretty much standard, others heavily modded (and some stupid drivers ignoring overtake on straights only). It's a lovely circuit to drive but 15-20 minutes is no where near long enough to get an idea of lines etc. (I've got the recent GP on vid, so thought about studying the in-car footage for clues).

I will book a slot on Briskoda this year but reckon that I'll have a second session later in the afternoon to run with some more interesting machinery. Oh and there is the 0-60 timed run you can partake in too!

I would like to join you guys on the stand if that's OK?

Room for a small one?

Great Fun that was last year 9.36 for me

Although ALAS I'll not be in attendance this year due to family commitments.

Are we close to getting a stand booked now? I know its a little way off yet, but in reality its only about 9 weeks now. and I think they have a deadline looming. Earlier we get in, the more we can get on stand too.

:iagree:

Somebody poke Dave!

I have to organise ferries etc and the later it is the more it costs!
