Gizmo, thanks for the information, I'm not too au fait with tech stuff, there's a couple of contacts in my area but I can't seem to get through? Any advice appreciated.

Quick google Vasstech Rugby a VAG specialist. Central VW Audi Bham. Both will of course charge for diagnostics no doubt.

Thank you, Rugby sounds good.

Also very highly regarded in the VAG scene is http://stealthracing.co.uk

in Southam Leamington way.
You could also get a breakdown call from AA they have decent tech for codes, if you are a member

I'm a gold AA member, 30 years plus, does that mean I can call them out?

This is what you pay your membership for, certainly if you want an idea of the issue and fault cleared also. If you don’t have home start go park over a mile away and give them a buzz. Be prepared to wait a few hours sometimes more. VCDS is still likely to be far superior than what AA have. But information is power at least

Thanks, phoned Vasstech, 2 week wait, I think AA will be best bet, appreciate all your advice.
