will my new wheels fit?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm planning to get new rims: 18x8,5 (ET35) with 215/35 tyres and I'm also planning on getting 50mm H&R springs... will this fit on my O1?

Thx!

Cheers

8.5J with 215 width tyres? Might be a bit of stretch IMHO.

Also is that a 50mm drop with the springs....I had a 40mm drop with 225/40/18 tyres and got inner arch liner rub on full lock.

You also have to consider the drive shafts...going too low will give them too much stress and they will break. Ultimately you need to kepe them as parallel to the ground as possible.

@ phil, do you know if ET40 works?

The profile is too low to achieve the sort of stretch you need, also the ride is gonna be horrible IMHO. Also it won't look right with springs, you will need coilovers to get the drop just right or the stretched tyres are just gonna look silly.
