Very well specced Octavia IV VRS estate fitted with a genuine power folding towbar 

 

The installation was recorded against the vehicle's build data and the car is now configured as if it left the factory with this towbar. It's completely warranty friendly.

 

We have previously fitted this car with a genuine reversing camera

Worst case you'd have to cut a hole in it. Best case it'll just fit and work nicely out of the box 

For those who don’t mind manually removing the towball, here’s the manually removable variant.

 

The 13 pin socket rotates up behind the bumper. The tow ball can be locked in place.

! @East_Yorkshire_Retrofits how did you/does one get the vin plate updated then. I had a retrofit Towbar for bikes but am keen to tow (legally)

The vehicles above were type approved for towing, so there weren’t any paperwork changes necessary 

 

I believe there are a couple of companies who can help you though 

i got genuine powerfold towbar sitting in a shelf for almost 2 years 😅
