DRL don’t work. Switch position auto. MK3 R/S facelift

Featured Replies

Hello, do you have any tips how to solve problem with DRL. I have Octavia mk3 facelift RS.

Light switch in position auto but DRL are not working. Instead normal lights are used. In settings if I turn off DRL they are completely off.
I thought that just the Led strips should be used.

No error or warning in Car page in infotainment.

What happens when you turn the lights to off, the “0” position? Do the DRLs work then? My thinking here is faulty light sensor and so the headlights are being turned on all the time incorrectly.

Could also be that a previous owner has changed the BCM settings.

In “0” Led strips are on. Its not that bright as it shoudl in my opinion. Is there another way how to test the light sensor?

Where Can I display or change These BCM Settings?

Still sounding like a faulty sensor to me.

VCDS should be able to check for this fault and it is also used to make changes as well. It’s not a Skoda tool. Google for more information. OBDeleven is another similar option.
