try spraying some silicone lubricant on the rubber runners and the seal at the bottom of the window ,what part of cardiff are you in?

Apply silicone to the seals sure, but don't spray it, unless you want to have it in other less desirable places.

at last a local!!!!! i'm in rhiwbina and i am up and down the the a470 most of the week other than that i am sat in the most congested city in the countries traffic jams but i may appear anywhere at any time owing to my job

I live in cardiff ,but the location of the car is deliberately vague hence the location chosen is just a big carpark ,dont want to attract too much attention
