Any suggestions for the above work plus Cambelt change within 20 miles of Southampton UK? Someone who changes Haldex filter please.

I can't recommend for Southampton, but we had cambelt, dsg oil change & adaptations, Haldex oil and filter done all at once as well.

 

Even though we normally use independents due to cost (and ability!), We used a Skoda dealer, because they had tarrif pricing for older cars at a favourable fixed rate.

 

It was about 25% more expensive 2 years ago. Maybe your local Skoda dealers still can do something?

The issue is being sure that Main Dealers techs or fitters are doing a proper Haldex Service with a clean out and not just an oil change.  Hard to believe they after all these years of the system and issues there are places doing a half job for good money when the job done properly takes 20 minutes longer and people expect that even if it costs a bit more.  

Thanks, I know what u mean. Its exactly why I'm asking for recommendations. I've just got the Yeti and for peace of mind have done all the other service requirements myself on my drive. I'd do the dsg and haldex work myself, but I'm 74 and my drive is sloping and I'd want the car level.
