ULEZ and other similar schemes we are being told are all about clean air for everybody but are they really just a means of making money from motorists?

@Graham Butcher "Around here." Very much relevant. For UK wide they will need rolled out UK wide. Getting full Mobile & Digital Receptions UK Wide might be a good idea. There are Average Speed cameras about on 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 mph & on 70 mph roads in many regions of the UK. It hardly requires having watched a Vlogger to know this, just pay attention while out and about driving.

  • @Graham Butcher   What do you want, or others against the ULEZ, just to moan, or to just let their be more emissions or pollution in London?

I cannot see the cameras being used to charge people ppm it will be mandatory reporting like they have said. The way the cameras could be used is a back check for credibility, It will be quite simple for a registration number to be put into the computer system to validate "hits" and an AI model see if that 3,000mile was credible

@Evolution13 Agreed about the vlogger, apart from the fact he was seeing this happening years ago in his part of the country, the west of England, at the time, many here were rubbishing vloggers. Yes, much of what people here say is rubbish. There is not a single one of us who could not learn something new every day by opening our minds.

I also understand there are average speed cameras on roads that carry speed limits from 20 to 70 mph, many of which do not have a history of excessive speeds or accidents. There are many stretches of the A12 road which have had them installed recently.

I agree with the mobile phone signal aspect, and yet that has not stopped remote chargers being installed in some poor signal locations, which you have documented in some of your logs, and yet some others have claimed that they never experience such issues. There are some locations where you can get 4G or even 5G phone signal but still have major issues getting any internet.

ANPR was happening years ago and anyone could see if they opened there eyes. Drug Dealers and Terrorists tracked into Scotland before stopped here. Plenty ANPR for decades to Sea Ports. Scottish Ports to Northern Ireland. Who are the plenty saying the Vloggers are speaking rubbish when they are only repeating what the heard or read someplace else, or things they predict with any of us do regularly. The Muppet that buys cars is not Nostradamus or someone with an ear into Government or Think Tanks meetings. Is he still out their posting what is sometimes guff like is often posted here?

Indeed, didn't they also play a big part in catching the murderer of Ann Widcombe because they tracked him and arrested him within a very quick time?

Do you never watch the Murder Documentaries there are on the various TV channels & stuff on Organised Criminals? It has been many a year now of tracking vehicles. Much tracking during the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

Totally agree, certainly at least until they can get massively improved camera coverage and prove beyond doubt that the system is fully reliable.

Yes, I watch them occasionally.

Thank Goodness that Reform UK members, officials and Elected Politicians vehicles movements by road can be tracked.
