Kamiq reverse lights

Featured Replies

Is there a cure for terrible reverse lights on Kamiq

?

Can people not see that you are going to reverse?

The car got Type Approval, the reversing lights meet the requirements.

Or can you not see where you want to go when it is dark?

If nobody there to annoy, put on your rear Fog light, that might help you see.

It's always odd to me when I hear complaints about insufficient lighting.

With type approvals becoming more stringent decade upon decade you'd think all would be well.

My first car never had reversing lights 😜 they were a common DIY upgrade back then from your local car mart like Les Smiths etc before there was a Halfords in every town.

But even now on my California which has H7 bulbs (and I find them perfectly adequate but not the most desirable from an aesthetic approach as LED's) people still berate their performance.

I guess we all have different expectations and abilities that influence opinion.

Looking forward to picking up our Kamiq on Tuesday, it's the 1st car I will have owned with LED headlights.

Ha ha I see how you managed to read it that way 😄

But no I have H7 headlamps on the Cali and they get scoffed at by those who insist LED's are the only headlights that are worthy. I agree LED's are superior and nicer aesthetically but there was no way that amounted to be worth a £1500 upgrade when H7's do a great job so I stayed with H7's. They aren't even bottom of the pile. Some models got H4's and still approved. So that was my point.

What’s wrong with the reverse lights?  The reverse lights on my MC are bright white LED’s and are more than adequate.

Dont all Kamiq models use the same?

Nope
