Can anyone please confirm whether my 2017 Citigo has a silica bag in the coolant header tank, as I understand that these are a blight on many VAG cars? I have had a look and can't see or any printing on the header tank to indicate the presence of one.

Hello Harry, difficult to give a definite answer - it probably had one fitted originally - but if your present expansion tank doesn't have the 'Mit Silicat' marking on it, it has possibly been changed for one without it.

Is your coolant colour pink or is it mauve/purple?

It is likely that a silicate dispenser of some description was fitted originally. Have you owned this vehicle from new?

AFAIK no Up/Citigo/Mii ever had silicon bags in the header tank (per UpOwner's Club).
