Is there any USB Splitter?

I tend to think that the only way to do it is get a high capacity usb stick and partition it into two volumes and put music on one Sat Nav data on the other.

The power cable may have to be fed from the rear usb sockets for passenger use. The removal of the 12v accessory socket is the worst thing about the car as I can't use many things now.

Im not convinced that’ll work either. That will essentially give you two drives and the car will only be able to see one of them?

As Scott has said Partitioning won't work there is more chance if you put both on one large USB Stick then you should be able to select which files, but I guess only one at a time.

What you could do is get a inline 12Volt power socket and go behind the glove box and wire that into the Accessory fuse and then plug a 12volt to USB adaptor in for charging the passenger phone

As SCOTT is blacklisted I can't see the response, however if I get the gist of what he's said is correct I find it quite odd as it can detect two separate sticks in the sockets, yet not deal with partitions.

Yes it can detect two sticks in separate sockets but the car has no way to see portions in one socket, (its not a PC) but why not do what I said  in last post and in fact you could use a double adaptor in a power socket fed from the fuse board

Yes, but its not a splitter, its an adapter - which is why it doesn't allow both the SD card slot and the USB socket to be used together for data.

Ah but it does - SD card and Phone storage visible and useable in my media, but I don't think it liked SD card and Micro SD card at same time.

Not perfect, but it's getting there

I did try running an extension from the 12v socket in the boot to the front of the car so that I could run my Garmin Nuvi sat nav with its traffic alerts.  However since ClassicFM stopped transmitting the traffic alerts I now use the ipad for navigation - its a lot more accurate at junctions for lane selection.

I'm even more confused when I put the existing usb stick in and the system shows a thing about a partition 1.
