Hi,

stumbled across the site when Googling for advice on how to use those plastic screws that came with my Skoda car mats (rubber for those interested). No seriously, with no obvious holes or markings on the carpet I didn't want to risk messing such a trivial thing up. Anyway found the answer on the site (just screw into carpet) but probably won't bother as they don't seem to move much and making holes in the mats would seem to be a bit self defeating when they get wet. Might end up leaking onto the carpet.

You might guess, the car is new, 1 month old, and very impressive, done 2500 miles so far. Traded up from a Fabia 1.9 Tdi which I had from new for 18 months and that car was great but got too small for the two youngest growing children. I do a fair amount of business miles, around 25000, per year so reliability, comfort, economy all play their part. Had absolutely no problems with the Fabia. Octavia write-ups sounded good so splashed out on L&K est. 2.0 TDi DSG. Have to say the DSG matched with this engine is great. Leather seats are pretty comfy too. Still discovering new gadgets and fundtions.

Anyway site looks very helpful and entertaining so thought I'd join. Not really into tuning etc, a car's a car to me but it needs to work well on all levels which Skodas seem to do.
