Brake Drums

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any idea of where to find brake drums for a 105/120? They seem to be impossible to find on online parts stores and I am located in the United States which doesn't make it easy to find locally. I figure since brake drums are a wear item there have to be ones for sale or ones from another car that are close enough to fit with minor modifications. Thanks in advance.

I presume from the model year it's an Estelle? There were also earlier S105 and S120 models which may have had different brake sizes.

Such a part number 110 330 010 rear drums 76>89? If you search that numvber there are a couple of results and I use https://www.skoda-parts.com/catalog/105-120-130.html for my Octavia 1U as some parts for thyat are getting difficult although they don't have your drums. From what I can see using TecDoc, there are no aftermarket manufacturers of these drums.

If you don't need new drums you might be able to get the existing ones skimmed with perhaps the shoes relined.

Interesting parts link. I note rear drums are currently out of stock with no restocking date. However, there are various small manufacturers in the UK who can scan/copy a spare drum then cast and machine in either steel or aluminium. Cost depends on batch volumes of course. Nothing that can be made is truly unobtainable. Shame we can't 3D print them!

And then I remember the time I imported from America a pair of very difficult to find brake discs for a BMW for many £££, only to have them come back into general stock 6 months later for comparative pennies. I still have them sat on the shelf 10 years later...
