DSG recall !!!

Featured Replies

I booked mine for next week. But was informed there are 3 other recalls outstanding on my car (Including the DSG one)

Is anyone aware of what the others could be? 21 VRS hatch.

But Dealership Service Desk Staff are free and loose with the word RECALL< (When not a DVLA Safety Critical) & when it is a Recall Action,  a Service Campaign,  and as it is ask them to ask a grown up what the 3 are.

They have a phone, a keyboard, legs or a wheel chair. Their job is reception.   5 1/2 days a week full time and sometimes as thick as mince.

The Service Manager and the Master Tech are through the house.

High time they get to know a RECALL is when you tell Registered Keepers the vehicle needs to come back in.

If they have to find out themselves or if they happen to be in the Dealership they are Skoda Secret Service Recall Actions.

On  need to know basis and the customers are the last to need to know and them telling the customer is as much in the dark.

Too busy sorting out issues that Skoda / VW never sorted before selling cars or the Dealership had some idiot doing wrong at a PDI.

From memory

1.Engine Cover - fire risk

2.Door Locks - Alarms,errors in car logs

3.DSG Cover - Fire Risk

4.Loose or incorrect "stops" for the rear hatch (might not have been a recall)

Checked both the DVLA and Skoda links and my2020 Karoq not showing on either. Thanks for the heads up any way.

Have mentioned it to my son and a friend who have Skodas

All done on mine and engine cover fitted.

@Superted  What is all done?   New engine cover on 'tick'.

Was any action needed on the Heat Mat or just checked and no action?

Was there anything else?

No idea, just mentioned 2 recalls at service, the mat and the engine cover, did the mat, whatever it was they needed to do, and engine cover on back order, just took a couple of weeks, popped in and they fitted it, job done 🙂

Got my car back yesterday. All three recalls were completed.

Recall 1 - Saftey recall for heat mat

Recall 2 - Software update to Version 1969 to fix a software restart bug

Recall 3 - Engine cover.
