Split hose Karoq

Featured Replies

Hello all. I need some help identifying a hose that has split under the engine cover of my Karoq.  It's the one conected to the black box with the white square sticker on it. What is it for please? Thanks.

Have a look at post “Knocking on idle”, as one post (last one) mentions split hose on the part that had been identified as causing the knocking. It is the square with the white top.

Many thanks for the information. I had a knock on idle, which I traced to a split hose. Didn't know what the part was called to be able to order a replacement.

So you mean this knocking comes indead from a split hose, the one above? I had this noise starting some time, in my brand new Karoq. I untied the black box (with the white sticker on it) from the car's  chassis and the noise stopped, at least it was more silent inside when the car was idle at the traffic lights.

So, after reading here, I must have a second look to the hose of there is a split or so....

That's correct, when I taped the split hose up the knocking disappeared and although I have not yet been able to replace it the engine is still silent
