Got a letter from Skoda today requesting that this is checked by an authorised repairer. 

 

Anyone done this yet?

Ah I think I’ve found the recall, for DSG.

 

Gov website says mine isn’t affected for 2016 tdi.

 

Normally vosa website lists the vin number range but doesn’t anymore hmm

I think it's for vehicles manufactured between 2020-2024

Ah I’m all good then, guess they’ve been scrimping on parts and tried to save money 

I got mine, it’s booked in in a couple of weeks time. But I had a look, as far as I can tell the heat shield is correctly installed. I was in Germany last week and hit 140mph on the autobahn. If the thing wasn’t going to melt then, it probably isn’t going to melt!

Mine was in for a service last week and they did this at the same time. Then yesterday received the letter from Skoda.....

Had my letter yesterday, need to book it in. 2020 diesel dsg.

There must be at least 5 threads on this now in the Superb and Octavia sections but with different titles.

Sorry, I did have a look but couldn't find any!!
