A/C pressure sensor

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

A/C stopped working and having had a garage plug in a diagnostic tool it came back as faulty A/C pressure sensor.

While the garage is pricing up the repair can someone tell me where it is located / potentially how difficult or easy the job is?

I can't find it in the Hayne Manual so concern it's not a job for your average guy.

Thanks in advance.

What was the exact fault code, please?

Thanks for the quick reply, I haven't got that at hand but will check with the garage when they open tomorrow.

The sensor is in the aluminium pipework, near the coolant expansion tank.

Probably a fuel filter in the way of easy access on a vRS.

Have a look at the wiring where it comes out of the connector, and if you can disconnect it, look for wetness or corrosion on the contacts.

Insufficient refrigerant can/does give one G65 fault code, but the fault description would say 'low refrigerant pressure'.
