IV Charging settings

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have recently purchased an iv sportline and would like some clarity on the hybrid battery charging and cabin preheat through the emanager.

I recently changed to an overnight EV tariff for electricity supply which is offpeak midnight to 7am. I typically leave for work at 8am. Using the emanager I set my departure time for 7:45 for a cabin temperature of 19degC and battery fully charged whilst selecting using offpeak power and not using the battery for cabin preheat. I presume it will fill the battery so its at 100% at 7am, but with the cabin preheat will it use power directly from the mains so the cabin is 19degC for 7:45? Or will the cabin preheat to 19degC at 7am as I've selected use offpeak power.

The superb is the same platform as second gen Passat gte. My Passat is the first gen so may be slightly different. All that being said..... I have the off peak settings in the car to finish after my departure time. It ensures the battery is topped up after preconditioning.  The charging starts at the beginning of the off peak period so no weirdness with charging to meet the departure time.
