Seat edge fraying

Featured Replies

hey i got another gripe

the seats are fraying onthe front edge of the silve/white bit on mine and passenger side the car is coming up to 2.5 years old any idea whether warranty will cover dealer tells me its wear and tear

also my skoda badge on the front is peeling they also said that would be wear and tear

should i get hold of skoda uk are they any help in these situations

I've got the same problem with my front drivers seat. About a 3 inch section, where the mesh meets the leather is fraying. Its not coming apart, which is nice, so I thought about just trimming he frayed bits off.. TBH, it is just wear and tear and is unfortunate if not annoying.

As for the Badge coming off... wear and tear?? What do they expect you are doing.. sitting in front of the car and rubbing the badge or something..??

my drivers seat has actually started to come apart on the front edge because the stitching has actually broken between the mesh and the leather.

i am assuming that it must have previously been owned by somebody who was very heavy:D

i would think that it would be a pretty easy repair as nothing has torn or frayed, just the stitching broken.

I got a new drivers seat cover fitted under warranty for the fraying problem.

Mines an 05 with only 11K on the clock.

Must stop wearing the Crimpoline slacks:D

lol i aint no lightweight myself but as it was like it when i bought it i can still blame it on someone else:rofl:

When I had the Mk1 I also had mine changed under warranty, actually drivers side was replaced twice. The 2nd time I was told they had changed the material, so its more than just a wear and tear issue.
