can anyone point in the right direction to find out

if my 2018 2.0tdi 4x4 has trailer/towbar prep installed?

i cant find a build/spec sticker (had golfs in the past which had them)

You can ask for the build spec via the Chat feature on the Skoda website. They will need the VIN. It’s also possible to get the spec on the Certificate from the Remote access. A Skoda dealer can also get the Certificate from the database using the VIN. I had exactly the same question for the 2023 Sportline that I’ve just acquired - it didn’t have Tow bar prep. You also need to check the VIN plate on the door pillar has a GTW specified meaning it can legally tow. This is usually a 4 digit number above  the axle 1 and axle 2 rating in Kg.

I forgot to mention that there is a previous thread about Tow bar prep which lists the what it includes, from memory it’s a Wiring loom to the rear and modifications to the front grill to improve cooling, although I believe the 2.0 engines may already have this grill.
