All turn signals are not working

Featured Replies

Hello, I need advice on my problem.

Since yesterday, my turn signals have stopped working, all 4 of them do not even work as a warning

On the instrument cluster, the left to right arrow only flashes quickly

I've already looked at the fuses are good

Don't know where the problem would be? Any relay? Turn signal cycler?  By chance The wiring diagram of the turn signals would not be ?

I'll be glad for any answer And thank you

If you are 100% certain that the 15 Amp fuse number 49 is OK, then there may be visual evidence of failure of the integrated circuit in the onboard supply control unit (BCM) having failed.

It's the large chip to the right of the white relay in this photo:

Thank you for the information, today I'll take a look at it and it will write how I've progressed

Thank you very much

Some more info for you, including inputs and outputs (inputs are just switched to 0V/earth by the stalk). Outputs go to the front, rear and side repeater lamps, all in parallel for each side.

LTS = left turn signal, RTS = right turn signal.

Thank you for your reply

So that could be the problem.

Is there any way to detect a bad bcm?  But could there be anything else wrong?

Thank you again

You may find that chip looks visibly destroyed if you open up and inspect the BCM circuit board.

Nothing else is involved; if the input from stalk and output wiring to the lamps is OK, and fuse is OK.

Can test all of those things with multi-meter at those connections I've shown.

Ďakujem ti za. info ak sa ešte niečo stane napíšem

Problem solved it was a switch for warning lights And the fuse as you wrote 15A

Thank you for your willingness and time

Breezy_Pete,

My left turn signal does not work. Operated with left trun signal and with the warning button.

Fuse 49 was broken, replaced, and measured now gives 12V.

The 3 light are good.

Pin 16 and 10 measured with trun signal to the left both give 0 volt.

Should pin 10 give 12 volts?

Is pin 10 connected to fuse 49?

Thanks for the info.

Yes, pin 16 should alternate between 0V and 12V if the chip is working the left indicators. Fuse 49 carries current into the chip on pin 15 of that connector (or maybe 13, I forget), the MOSFET transistors in the chip should send it back out when indication is commanded.

thanks for the info! wil measure pin 15 and 13 again to be sure of no broken cable. Otherwise i send the BCU for repair.

Car is my mothers will be happy when everythings works again :)

Pin 15 of that connector, a red/white wire is the power from fuse 49. But it also supplies the right side indicators, so if they work, the power feed into the BCM must be OK.

Breezy_Pete,

With the connector unplugged from BCM, measure resistance to earth from the pin 16 wire.

It should be quite a small resistance, because all three indicator bulbs on the left side are in parallel from it to earth, and the front and rear bulbs are 21 Watt, so their cold resistance will be a very small number.

If you measure a high resistance instead, it could suggest a wire breakage/damage/corrosion from pin 16 towards the bulbs (black/white) wire.

If you open up the BCM, you may see physical damage/ burning on that chip.
