Sorry to ask what's the diagram please

He has highlighted the colour-code key inside the rectangle on the right.

Match the (German) abbreviation  letters by each wire to the English translation of the colour in that key.

G6 is fuel pump motor, G is fuel level sender.

So I know this is silly but where do the cables go from that block on pass foot well to fuse board which bunch of wires?? Is there anyway I can piggyback the fuel pump to another power source ?? Sorry for asking all these

All the other base equipment diagram is there:

Pickup - Base Equipment.pdf

Keep in mind that i am not mechanic or engineer, i am try to provide you from anything i have from my archives.

You should be able to get 12v on the pin 30 location on the highlighted relay(fuel pump relay), it's permanent live.

If not you only need to backtrack to the battery from there.

If someone could post Diagram 4: Magneti-Marelli engine management , it might help aswell.

Not to put a damper on your attempts and in no way any offence meant...

But if you are struggling to read the wiring diagrams someone posted above, then

you risk causing damage to your car/yourself further by possibly back feeding/shorting or any other issues.

If the fuel pump fuse has blown (if) then the last thing I would be doing is bypassing the fuse and feeding power into a literal tank of flammable liquid that may have a short circuit within it....

Just some food for thought

I get that ot sounds silly but I do understand the diagrams just the colours but thanks for concern

And the inside after cleaning it with alot of painstaking time 20240622_103217.thumb.jpg.eb99f9b833195b86c9b689bedf3518f6.jpg

That's how it was but now it's new literally so all the else's work as tested every copper length for conducting

And I really do appreciate everything

So is it now working after cleaning?

  • Author

Yes everything apart from fuel pump but going to sort that tomo ordered new relays and new fuses will do the whole thing and clean earth straps too

I'm not 100% sure where you have tested continuity to, but this wire (arrowed)IMG_20240623_205700.thumb.jpg.e2769be53f097ff82418675963f28dc3.jpg

Is this point/connector in the diagramIMG_20240623_205751.thumb.jpg.86dd1c6da9e05b7848a5683f92947ca6.jpg

There is power going there to that red cable and nothing to relay so fuse I will be replacing with new new 1s so fingers crossed 🤞 and thankyou for help as tested continuity on each section only if current flowed through all bored which it did

Arh, well the way I understand the wiring diagram (and I could be wrong here) is that that point is after the relay and fuse, so should eliminate those components.

nothing to relay so

Do you mean nothing at the high current connection 30 for the relay? Or nothing at the low current side 85/86 which is controlled by ecu?

Did you remember to apply an extra thin coat of electric contact grease?

Another example:

Klüberlectric KR 44-102 is a special grease for the lubrication of electrical switches, contacts and sensors. It consists of a synthetic hydrocarbon oil and lithium soap incorporating a UV indicator for quality inspection. A special additive combination makes Klüberlectric KR 44-102 particularly suitable for the lubrication of electrical contacts. It is intended especially for the protection and lubrication of copper, tin and silver surfaces against corrosion. Further positive effects are: reduction of plug-in and switching forces, reduction of fretted oxide development, extended connecting and switching cycles, constantly low contact resistance and smoother switching transitions.
