speakers

Featured Replies

Hi,

Both front door speakers are making a buzzing/farting sound.  Before I get new cones, can I check that it is likely to be new speakers that is needed rather than another cause?

Thanks,

Anyone?

Would it be worth doing a full reset of the head unit before swapping out parts?

Or a VCDS scan?

Someone else recently had the same issue, it was the plastic behind the speakers which broke

Pretty sure he reckoned it could be caused by the doors closing and over the years just broke

if i were you I’d remove one door panel and speaker and investigate, if its had it then get new ones, if they’re fine then not sure

Thanks all, really helpful

Speaker needs drilled out to inspect and riveted back into place when refitting.
