Featured Replies

Had my vrs 4x4 octavia for just about 2 years.after 12 months i took it for a service.no problems i thought but i was told by other people my car did not need a service until much later so i thought well it is done now.i now have got a letter stating car is due for service again is this correct? The dashboard says oil change due in 7500 miles or 261days. Inspection due in 10300 miles or 371 days.am i been led down the garden path again?

I think they leave the factory on variable servicing where the car lets you know when it needs something - but if you're not doing high miles, or just prefer to, you can be switched to internal servicing ( typically 10k / 12 months). At least that's what happened with my MK3, which I had switched.

Switched to Fixed Servicing.

@Joss1733 Haldex Service due at 3 years / 30,000 miles or sooner.

Your car is out of sink for Oil & Filter Servicing. Whoever reset messed up.

There are no just 'Inspections'.

So Oil & Filter inspection services on Fixed Regime / Annual / 9,400 miles,   or Variable / Flexible 18,000 - 20,000 miles / 24 months or sooner if you want.

Oil service & Inspection & Extended Scope & 3 years / 30,000 miles.
