I have a 2012 Skoda Fabia Vrs and I know about all the issues.

I'm gonna have the chain replaced out of caution, sinds I have the money anyway.

I'm looking for the absolute best chain that you can buy for this car. Just to be sure.

Buy genuine then, duh!

I don't agree that OEM is always best. I absolutely think someone out there has made a better chain.

On such a complex engine, I imagine you're more likely to introduce a problem doing the work than prevent one. 

 

Do these chains ever cause trouble? @Ootohere will know.

Not much issue with the CAVE.  It is the CTHE the TPI covers.   Tensioner and chain.
