Featured Replies

ok... I'm gonna try for the record now........

went to the Sheffield meet at murderhell today (sunday) swimbo and offspring were feeling the heat, and stayed in the car most of the time to enjoy the aircon.... time flew by, may have been a couple of hours, did a blat for someone too, checked the average mpg on the way home and got.....

wait for it....

22.5 mpg :) hhmmmm not the best use of a PD130, just to keep some cool air! lol....

shoot me for most blatent pollution ;)

note: average day normally sees 47-50......... :o

Hi

Only seeing around 40 - 43 teaching at the moment. Aircon sure does suck fuel in these cars.

Chris

18mpg for me, and it wasn't left ticking over, and the aircon was off :D

I average 35.6 on the daily commute home (11 miles @ 17.2 mph) I don t think thats bad. My 2.0 VW Bora did 17 mpg on the same route!

I couldnt possibly comment on the lowest i've achieved on a long trip - nothing below 50 that's for sure ;). I can say that when I reset the trip computer and did a 0-60 I managed 8.7mpg, which quickly rose to high 40's when I began cruising again :D

Indicated 21.5 MPG @ 130 (ish) MPH :P

managed an average of 52 on way back from barmouth to leicester yesterday...no aircon on...i am too cheap, not using the vrs to its full though there was fair bit of traffic

Bit of ring action, eh? ;)

I see 27mpg when I reset the computer at the bottom of the cat and fiddle road, blat up it and read it at the top. Quickly climbs again though when I go the other way. :)

13 mpg round croft circuit!

My record stands at 19. Day to day is around 38mpg.

bloomin heck, I got that in my Impreza whilst caning it and with Aircon on!!:D

 ooer missus

averaged 22mpg on oulton park track day 160 miles including driving to/from circuit ,saw 64mpg on the way to work this AM and 58mpg back home this PM approx 35 miles total mileage

The worst I have seen mine at is 35mpg. I still get 55mpg with the air con switched on doing 60pmh to work. Makes me :D each time I look and see how much fuel I'm not using!!

My record stands at 19. Day to day is around 38mpg.

Normal driving (not track day):-

I got 32mpg on a winter tankful once. :(

Day to day at present is overall about 37/38 with aircon but without goes up to 42/43. If I really try hard can get 50mpg but the trip is barely 4 miles, 4 times per day, standing traffic in morning for part way and up steep hill twice on return legs so not surprising.

Still a good way to travel to and from anywhere though.

Fairly similar engine - my worst to date, for a full tank, 11.1mpg :D

I've had it at 19mpg. I was in a rush at the time thats my excuse. Never again, its like defeating the object.

17mpg here on a very spirited drive of about 40 miles. :D

33 MPG on a motorway run. Fabia vrs very sensitive to MPG loss with increased speed. Company Octavia Tdi estate does more to the gallon at same speed even when loaded up to the top.
