Skoda Kamiq boot torch

Featured Replies

My new Kamiq 2024 SE facelift is not fitted with the boot torch.

Anyone know if can this be purchased / retrofitted ie is the wiring etc already in place ?

cheers

Just buy a torch and stick it in the car

Ah there is always one

AFAIK the boot torch has never been fitted in the Kamiq, unlike previous Skoda models. I recall a number of people bemoaning this when the Kamiq was introduced. The umbrella in the drivers door and the ice scraper are still there though!

The Kamiq does have the torch (mine included) Just depends on which model spec..

Skoda dropped the torch on every later model for some reason.

I used mine often but my new Karoq doesn't have one now.

It's sort of a nice touch but i've never used mine. But yes i noticed Skoda stopped the torch on later models, Probably cost cutting.

Thanks guys for all replies, it just seemed to feature on the ads and seemed like a handy thing to have if could be retrofitted guess just stick with the trusty old led maglite

My 2020 Kamiq SEL (ordered early in the year for Feb/March but only arrived late June because of impact of Covid) came with the torch, but not too long after this the torch disappeared from the spec, presumably impact of Covid on costs and/or parts supplies.

You can buy the bits - for example listed here (note that these may not be right for Kamiq):

but it occurs to me that it's unlikely the wiring would be there to charge the torch when the boot is closed.
